Stay with us in Alyth, situated right at the Highland Boundary Fault in Perthshire. To the north, the quiet glens of the southern Cairngorms National Park offer dramatic scenery and an abundance of trails for hiking and cycling, and plenty of opportunities for skiing in winter.
To the south, the fertile Valley of Strathmore produces some of Scotland's finest fresh produce, and offers plenty of opportunities for walks and cycling through the gently rolling terrain.
If you are after museums and culture, the Cateran Ecomusueum is unique! Dundee, home of the V&A, and Perth, home of the Stone of Destiny, make great day trips by bike, bus or car. There are plenty of opportunities to play golf, fish or go on a guided beaver tour too, or to kayak on one of the lochs or rivers nearby.
The name of the house - Forillon - was inspired by the Forillon National Park in Quebec, where we spent a month on a workation - working and riding our bikes, going fishing or swimming. We would like to give you the prefect opportunity to do the same. The house is ideal if you want to take time off to enjoy and discover a new area, while at the same time giving you a space to work when you need to.
You'll get superfast broadband, and the upstairs single bedroom can easily be turned into an office with a foldable desk. Or you can use the portable small table to work from the downstairs couch.
